El acto de lanzamiento fue encabezado por el gobernador Alberto Weretilneck, quien consideró que «la gran temporada y la jerarquización de un destino turístico tiene que ver esencialmente con la calidad».

«No hay buena temporada posible haciendo desde el individualismo lo que a cada uno le parezca», afirmó en el mensaje de apertura de la temporada veraniega.

Weretilneck dijo que, «la gran temporada y la jerarquización de un destino turístico, tiene que ver esencialmente con la calidad; hoy el turista exige calidad, y ésta es una conjunción de esfuerzos desde el Estado Provincial, el Municipal y los privados».

En ese sentido llamó a la reflexión de los comerciantes al sostener que, «nadie debe pensar que se salva con una temporada; el mejor negocio es que el turista vuelva, que le cuente a un familiar, a un amigo o un vecino que Las Grutas es el mejor lugar para venir a veranear».

Destacó el trabajo logrado por los estados y pidió el acompañamiento de los privados: «estamos logrando un buen trabajo en conjunto entre la Provincia y el Municipio, y necesitamos el acompañamiento de los privados para seguir consolidando a Las Grutas», remarcó el gobernador.

También aseguró que actualmente se compite «contra el proceso de globalización que se ha dado en el turismo, con promociones en cuotas a los destinos en el extranjero; por eso, es hora de ajustar la creatividad, de ganar lo justo y necesario, y que el Estado garantice todos los servicios como corresponde».

Al acto asistieron funcionarios provinciales, municipales, el titular de La Cámara de Comercio, Turismo, Industria y de Servicios de Las Grutas, Walter Sequeira, y el presidente de la Asociación Civil de Propietarios de Alojamientos Turísticos del balneario Las Grutas, Juan Agostino Andrea, quienes coincidieron con el criterio de Weretilneck al mantener los precios de la anterior temporada veraniega.
